Tornado Watch issued April 27 at 4:57PM CDT until April 28 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 149 UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT WHICH REPLACES A PORTION OF TORNADO WATCH 147. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST KANSAS LEAVENWORTH WYANDOTTE IN MISSOURI THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI CLAY PLATTE RAY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, FORT LEAVENWORTH, GLADSTONE, KANSAS CITY KANSAS, KEARNEY, LANSING, LAWSON, LEAVENWORTH, LIBERTY, PARKVILLE, PLATTE CITY, RICHMOND, RIVERSIDE, WEATHERBY LAKE, AND WESTON.

Flood Watch issued April 27 at 12:12PM CDT until April 28 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in Kansas, Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami, and Wyandotte. In Missouri, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Johnson MO, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Randolph, Ray, and Saline. * Through Sunday afternoon * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
